I plan on purchasing a food dehydrator in the future, but right now I can’t afford one and I’d like to be able to make some dishes instead of snacking on boring old stuff. I had a food processor, but I had to send it in to get repaired, and I have no idea how long that will take.
When you got yours new, did all the parts come loosely packed inside the box?
Just wondering since I bought one online as a gift, it came today in an old beaten up box and all the parts are just tossed in and jumbled around.
Its this one: http://www.amazon.com/KitchenAid-SNFGA-Pasta-Attachment-Mixers/dp/B00004SGFN/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&s=home-garden&qid=1261418477&sr=8-2
I would like to buy a set of knives on Black Friday. I don’t want to spend more than 0 for about a 13-piece set. What is a decent brand of knives that are not too expensive?
Has anyone had any experiences with KitchenAid, Cuisinart, or Chicago Cutlery knives?
What is the name of the food processor that whips olive oil into a butter type spread? I remember seeing an infomercial for a small food processor that will whip olive oil into the consistency of soft butter. Or one like it would be fine too. I think it has to be a higher speed than most. If you have any experience doing this I’d like to know if it works and how it turns out?
To kmennie,
I was up with the baby.
I have a KitchenAid blender, so it’s good quality. I won’t need to puree any meats, so veggies and fruits only. I do want them to be pretty smooth though. Thanks so much!
Braun has this seemingly great multi-purpose hand blender with a mixer, chopper and beater attachments. What will a food processor offer that the Braun appliance doesn’t?
Thanks
I’m in the market for a good blender. In reading Consumer Reports, they rated a Kitchen Aid excellent for purees and very good for smoothies. They rated a Braun blender exactly the opposite of the KitchenAid (very good for purees, excellent for smoothies). Isn’t the ability to puree or smoothie the same thing?
