Can I mash potatoes in my food processor?

yes.
you will want to cook them
add your butter/milk sourcream/potato water or other special ingredient after a couple of pulses.
technically they will be whipped and not mashed
Yes, but don’t overdo it or they will go all gummy!
Can I have some?

September 2, 2010 @ 1:47 amyes although you’d have to boil them to get them soft then add milk salt butter and garlic to them to make mashed /whipped potatoes
September 2, 2010 @ 1:47 amSure, if you want to drink them. Mash by hand and just add a little milk . They will taste so much better. Then add butter and parsley.
September 2, 2010 @ 1:47 amif you are doing a small amount and you put your cream butter and seasonings in and pulse real quickly it works well.but it seems to be a whole lot of trouble and clean up.i just drai my potatoes and then mash in the same pan. but then im cooking for 9 people every day. so it,s easier.
September 2, 2010 @ 1:47 amyep but its proably easier in the long run to just us a masher so u have less cleaning. add chives garlic butter and sour cream for the best mashed potatoes
September 2, 2010 @ 1:47 amHow lazy are you???
September 2, 2010 @ 1:47 amDon’t do it. Your potatoes will turn to glue. Best to use a food mill, a potato ricer or even your hand-mixer.
